Why holding your SIV course at Idroland Fly Zone?

Here's a list of the main features this fly zone can offer the schools that organize SIV courses.

Help from our association in organizing your first SIV course at Lake Idro, including familiarizing you with the area suggesting accomodations and collaborations with other schools
The Fly Zone is located in a quite area, far from the main traffic junctions
Services available at the landing zone: Bar from June to September, toilets and warm showers, 3 rooms to analyze video performances
Three rooms for classes and video analysis, two seating 30 people and one seating 10, all with flight simulator, television and tables for emergency paraglider foldings.
Beach area with multiple locations to set up video cameras (see map).

Altitude drop of the flight: 1200 metres(700 metres above the lake)
Take-off area can be reached through a paved, scarcely busy road (25 minutes from Idroland)
Large take-off area that can fit up to 10 unfolded paragliders before flight; flat area at the beginning followed by a 35/40 slope
Take-off zone divided into 4 sub-sections for flight schools (see map)
Flights take place mostly over the lake, ideal feature for testers, acrobatic maneuvers, SIV courses and paragliding beginners.

Why should you return to Idroland Fly Zone after your SIV course?

Campings, hostels, B&Bs and hotels near the lake make it a comfortable, relaxing holiday spot.

This is a tourist spot which does not see too much traffic but offers many interesting attractions: beaches, pools, cultural locations, surf and kite surf schools, indoor and outdoor climbing gyms, vie ferrate, canyoning routes, trekking trails, etc.

FLY CARD

What is the Fly Card and who needs one?

Fly Card is mandatory for flight schools students, both for SIV and for regular flight courses.

It is mandatory for the schools to get us a list of the participating pilots before giving them the cards.

The Fly Card is not mandatory for pilots that come to Idroland privately for flying on their own, but it can be bought upon request, granting the following bonus services.

The Fly card lets you enjoy these privileges:

Access to the meteo stations located at take-off and landing, with their constantly updated data
Access to the landing zone webcam
Free Wi-Fi at Idroland and the take-off areas

STORO NO FLY ZONE

No fly zone for any flying vehicle, established by the helicopter nucleus of the Autonomous Province of Trento for safety in the landing cone at the helicopter rescue pad in the municipality of Storo.

OFFICIAL LANDING POINTS – HEADQUARTERS

Adress: Strada ai Gregi, 65 – Loc. Idroland

Baitoni di Bondone TN - 38080 - (Chiese Valley - Lake Idro)

Once you have reached Baitoni, you have to turn right at the fire station and follow the signs for Idroland until you reach the landing zone in front of the lake.

From Brennero

Exit the motorway at the Trento Nord junction and follow the road to Riva del Garda until you reach Sarche.

Once there follow the SS237 road to Tione di Trento, then follow the signs to Brescia until you reach Ponte Caffaro.

At the bridge on the Caffaro torrent turn left and follow the signs to Baitoni; at the fire station turn right and follow the signs until you reach Idroland

From Verona or Brescia

Exit the A4 motorway at the Brescia Est junction and keep going until you reach Ponte Caffaro; at the bridge turn right, follow the signs to Baitoni and at the fire station turn right and keep going until you reach Idroland
